For this deep HDR, Dr Sebastian Voltmer used two cameras and two focal lengths: a Sony A7R III on a 135 mm and a Panasonic GH5s on a William Optics GT 81 WIFD refractor with 480 mm focal length. Location: Durango in Mexico.

Earthshine on the moon can be photographed with simple means. Even with the naked eye, Dr Sebastian Voltmer was able to see the discreetly illuminated moon, the so-called ashen moonlight, directly in front of the sun.
